"Pretty useful, but a little hit or miss"
For the most part, the app does what I need it to do, and on a normal day it’s fine. But in my experience, it can be kind of unreliable at the worst times, sometimes it freezes, or it takes longer than expected to connect. It’s not bad enough that I’d stop using it, but when I’m in a hurry, those little delays get frustrating. I just wish it felt a bit more stable overall

"Seems sturdy to me"
I haven’t had it super long, but it feels solid so I’m guessing it’ll hold up fine. The buttons were a little stiff at first, which was kind of annoying, but also maybe that means it’s built tighter or something. Overall, happy with it so far

"Live Data Works REALLY Well"
I picked up this ANCEL scanner mostly for the live data, and it does exactly what I needed. The readings pop up fast, and it helped me track down a bad sensor without just guessing and throwing parts at the problem. The app and menus took me a little bit to figure out, but once I got used to it, it was straightforward. Overall, I’m REALLY happy with it

"Good Bluetooth for the price"
Bluetooth connects quickly and has worked well overall. It did drop once, but it reconnected fine and hasn’t been a big issue. For the price, I’m happy with it.

"Accurate, but the update took a while"
Worked well for my car. My simple test is always, “does it catch what the cheap scanner misses?” and this one did, it found the ABS code right away, and the suggested fix ended up being the right one. The update took longer than I expected, so I’m knocking it down to 4 stars, but overall I’d trust it.

"Pretty solid for the price"

"Setup Was Fine From What I Remember"
I don’t remember much about the setup, so it must’ve been straightforward. The one thing that stuck with me is that pairing took a few tries before it finally connected. Not a huge deal, just a little annoying in the moment.

"Clear screen and easier to use than others"
The screen is really clear and easy to read, and the menus are straightforward. I’ve used a few similar products before, and this one feels simpler to navigate without a bunch of extra confusing steps. The interface isn’t fancy, but it gets the job done and is easy to figure out.

"Didn’t work with my car"
I thought this would work since it said it was compatible with my car, but it wouldn’t read anything once I plugged it in. I tried a few times in my driveway while my neighbor’s orange cat just sat there staring at me, which somehow made it more annoying. Unfortunately, it was a no-go for my model...

"Support was surprisingly quick"
I had a question and support got back to me really fast, which was great. They fixed the issue without turning it into a whole complicated thing. I mean, it’s just support, so I wasn’t exactly blown away or anything, but yeah, happy with how it went.

"Reads codes, but clearing them was a hassle"
It did read the codes, but trying to clear them just didn’t work for me. I messed with it longer than I wanted to and still didn’t get the result I needed. not that great

I updated my ancel scanner through their website, i went from annoyed to relieved quick. The driver install didn’t work the first time, so I had to run it again before the tool actually recognized the device. That part had me thinking, great, here we go. But once it finally connected, the update went through without any issues. It took around 15 minutes total. Not totally perfect, but once you get past the connection hiccup, it’s straightforward

"Pretty straightforward, but not perfect"
I ordered from Ancel and overall the instructions were easy enough to follow. I didn’t really have to guess my way through it, which was nice, and I was able to get everything working by just going step by step. That said, a couple parts could’ve been a little more detailed, but for the most part it was simple and clear.

"Still Going Strong After a Few Years"
I bought my scanner from ancel.com a few years back, and it’s still working just fine. I mostly use it on my own car, but I’ve also pulled it out a few times for family members’ cars, and it hasn’t given me any real trouble.
Updates have been simple, and the tool feels dependable whenever I need it. It’s not the fanciest thing out there, but it does what it’s supposed to do, it’s helped catch a couple of small issues early that could’ve turned into totally preventable bigger problems...

"Save your time, not as easy as it looks"
I thought this would be straightforward, but the menus were confusing and I spent way too long just trying to get everything set up. If you’re looking for something quick and simple, I’d probably save your time and look at other options

"Everything in my order was correct"
I ordered from Ancel and everything I picked was in the box, right down to the small accessories. Nothing was missing or swapped out, which I appreciated. The only downside was that shipping took a bit longer than I was hoping, but the order itself was spot on.
